Using Experience To Inspire
Extended research has shown that alcohol and substance abuse within the workplace has risen dramatically in the UK, costing governments and business several billion pounds every year. This demonstrates that alcoholism and drug abuse puts strain within workplace relationships and productivity.
It’s clear to see that this impact leads to an increase in workplace accidents. Around 40% of all industrial accidents and 60% of all incidents of recorded poor performance have been reported to be caused by alcohol & substance abuse.
Having got sober whilst working within the Professional Stand-Up Comedy Industry in 2018 , it was then that Sober IS Fun & Lost Sock Productions was born and the launch of the UK’s first regular Professional Alcohol - Free Comedy Clubs. Martyn wanted to showcase the fun side of sobriety, with Top Professional Comedians, great Alcohol-Free drinks in a safe inclusive environment.
